SPI Serial Flash
Chingis' Pm25 SPI Serial Flash product line offers exceptional quality with many times greater endurance and lower power consumption than alternative memories. Pm25LV fulfills the market requirement for low-cost, high-performance serial flash applications.
This product line is ideal for manufacturers of video graphic cards, hard disk drives, digital cameras, MP3s, white appliances, wireless LAN cards and voice recorders, offering them the highest performance 25-series SPI Serial Flash products available.
Benefits
With Pm25 SPI products, manufacturers can:
- Realize significant area savings over traditional non-volatile memory options, with a 3-pin SPI interface and 8-pin SOIC package. For example, savings up to 84% over a PLCC32 package, and up to 73% over a VSOP32 package are possible.
- Fast zero wait state performance
- Achieve low voltage operation of 2.7V ~ 3.6V
- Migrate easily through higher density processes with the same firmware command structure across all densities and the same economical 8-pin industry SOIC package for all new products in the line.
- Reduce pin count to ASIC
Depending on the system design, the product line's zero wait state can eliminate the need for extra clock cycles and simplify the hand-shaking procedures between logic and flash. Due to the inherent low power requirements of pFLASHTM technology, Chingis flash memories are particularly suitable for power sensitive portable devices such as notebook PC's, PDA's, digital cameras, voice recorders, new generation of video graphic accelerator cards and hard disk drives.
Availability
Two SPI Serial Flash memories are available today: Pm25LV512 and Pm25LV010 in 8-pin SOIC packages.
